Ronald Monahan

Co-founder of Monahan Mijares, Director & Partner, a Venezuelan and U.S. citizen. He has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida and has had professional experience in the United States with Price Waterhouse. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of CPA’s.

His outside activities include paticipation in VenAmCham events and activities, AVAA (Venezuelan American Friendship Association), a non- governmental organization
Ronald directs the VECTA program ( a volunteer group at the U.S. Embassy in Venezuela). He is also a Notary Public in the state of Florida in the U.S. and a Certified Acceptance Agent of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.

Trina Peña

Trina is a Partner of the firm. She is a Certified Public Accountant, graduated from the Central University of Venezuela where she obtained a Masters Degree in Business Management. Trina finished an English Program for foreign students at Case Western University (Ohio), obtaining bi-lingual status in English and Spanish. She has completed specialized programs in Taxation and International Accounting Standards, Professional Development Institute of Public Accountants Association. She also has broad experience in the handling of financial statements in foreign currencies and in the making of Diagnostic Reports for the Accounting/Administration area and makes Review Programs for internal control. In summary, Trina handles/manages everything that is related to the implementation and maintenance of the accounting and administrative platforms. Ricardo Iglesias

Manager of the Payroll Outsourcing Department. Ricardo is responsible for the administration and processing of the payrolls of our clients.. He supervises a staff of ten Payroll Analysts. He has had many years of experience as an Administrator. He has taken graduate courses at the “Universidad del Atlantico” in Colombia.

Justo Duvalier

Manager of the Tax Department.. He is a graduate of the National School of Public Finance (Graduado en la Escuela Nacional de Hacienda), where he is now a Tax Professor. His experience includes three years as a tax auditor, 2 years as a Tax Supervisor and 3 years as a Tax Manager. He is a Specialist in the Planning of Fiscal Strategies in Venezuela.

Yelitza Vargas

Manager of Accounting-Administrative Outsourcing Department, which includes the unit of Government Procedures. Certified Public Accountant, graduated from Universidad Santa Maria (Venezuela), which also do a postgraduate, obtaining the title of Tax Specialist. She has extensive experience in the preparation and review of financial statements under accounting principles Venezuelans and Americans, both in national currency and in the restatement of the same adjusted for inflation and foreign currency. On the other hand has developed significant experience in the area of treasury, portfolio analysis, general administration and dealings with government agencies.

Frank Salas

He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Taxation, in the Venezuelan National School of Administration and Public Finance. He completed postgraduate studies in Tax Management Specialization in the same instituo. Tax Manager of the U.S. Tax Department, where he has developed expertise in the international tax area, mainly for the American citizens residing in Venezuela and the Venezuelan citizens with ties or business in the US. Member of the Volunteer Embassy and Consulate Tax Assistance Program in The US Embassy in Venezuela.
